Tendring Cabinet formally adopted the revised Essex Coast Recreational Disturbance Avoidance and Mitigation Strategy (RAMS) and its associated tariff on 26 June 2026. The Cabinet approved a revised tariff of £476 per net additional dwelling, effective from 1 August 2026, and agreed to replace the Supplementary Planning Document with a Technical Advice Note. The Corporate Director (Planning and Community) is authorised to finalise and publish the Technical Advice Note.

Tendring Council Cabinet noted and welcomed progress on the Milton Road and Victoria Street regeneration project on 26/06/2026. The Cabinet reinforced its commitment to retaining Milton Road for car parking and Victoria Street for housing within the Housing Revenue Account. The project will now progress to the next stage, including entering a Pre-Construction Services Agreement with the preferred bidder.

Leader of the Council's Items - A.2 - Consequential Matters in Respect of the Formation of New Parishes for Clacton-on-Sea, Holland-on-Sea and West Clacton & Jaywick Sands

The Cabinet of Tendring Council decided on 26/06/2026 to note the report regarding the formation of new parishes. The Assistant Director (Corporate Policy & Support) was authorised to commission the Essex Association of Local Councils for transition support work totalling £52,500, with £25,000 recoverable from the new parishes. The financial impact of £27,500 in 2026/27 will be met from the Corporate Investment Fund (Revenue), and costs for the Returning Officer will be recovered from the new Parish Councils.

These documents were referred to the Licensing and Registration Committee for non-executive functions. The Corporate Director (Operations and Delivery) was authorised to approve amendments subject to the Licensing and Registration Committee's decisions.

Tendring Cabinet decided on 26/06/2026 to note the Council's Outturn Performance Report against the Regulator of Social Housing's Tenant Satisfaction Measures for 2025/26. The Cabinet also resolved that the Corporate Director (Operations and Delivery), in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Housing and Planning, will develop a new action plan for 2026/27 focusing on continuous improvement. This action plan will be presented to the Council's Audit Committee for review.
