The Cabinet Procurement and Insourcing Committee approved the insourcing of Debt Management and Financial Support, and Employment support for people with learning disabilities. This decision was made on 07/09/2026. The insourcing will be implemented from 1 February 2027 at a total cost of £0.52m per annum.

The Cabinet Procurement and Insourcing Committee approved the award of the Tennis Facilities Management and Community Tennis Development Concession Contract to Provider A on 07 September 2026. The contract is for an initial five-year period with an option to extend for a further two years. Provider A will receive at least the London Living Wage for directly employed staff and self-employed coaches, with rates increasing according to qualification level.

The Cabinet Procurement and Insourcing Committee of Hackney Council decided on 7 September 2026 that the minutes of the previous meeting held on 15 July 2026 were a true and accurate record. The committee approved the proposal to appoint Contractor C to create provision for 48 new places for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities at the former Baden Powell Primary school by July 2027. The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) report is to be circulated to Committee Members when available.

The committee noted the appointments of Cllr Rachel Nkiessu-Guifo as Chair and Mayor Zoë Garbett as Vice Chair for the Municipal Year 2026/27, and approved the Terms of Reference for the Appointments Committee and Appointments Sub Committee. The last review date for the Terms of Reference was set as 5th August 2026.
