Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Tuesday, 29th April, 2025 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee was scheduled to meet to review the action and recommendation trackers, and to discuss the draft summary of committee activity to be included in the Scrutiny Annual Report. The committee was also expected to discuss the Corporate Peer Challenge action plan.

Council - Thursday, 24th April, 2025 7.30 pm

At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council, councillors approved an updated Local Development Scheme and declared a Nature Emergency in the borough. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Mohammad Asghar, father of Councillor Naheed Asghar, Portfolio Lead Member - Inclusive Economy, who had recently passed away.

Special Meeting: Annual Budget and Council Tax Setting, Council - Thursday, 27th February, 2025 7.30 pm

This meeting is scheduled to cover a wide range of financial matters, including the Council's budget for 2025-26, the rates at which it will charge fees for its services, its plans to invest in new buildings and infrastructure and the pay of its employees. The meeting is also scheduled to include the appointment of Paul Calaminus to the Health and Wellbeing Board.

Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Tuesday, 21st January, 2025 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee meeting on 21 January 2025 was scheduled to involve a review of the Council's Corporate Impact Framework, as well as the Action Plan resulting from the Local Government Association's (LGA) peer challenge. The Committee was also scheduled to receive a report on its own scrutiny work.
