The Council of Waltham Forest approved the minutes of the Ordinary Council meeting held on 24th April 2025. The Council also declared a Nature Emergency and resolved to convene residents and local partners to accelerate collective action, mainstream nature recovery considerations in Council decision making, and embed nature recovery as a strategic priority in planning and design guidelines for new developments. The Council further approved the updated Waltham Forest Local Development Scheme (LDS) 2025-2028. Finally, the Council re-appointed Cllr John Moss, Cllr Terry Wheeler, and Colette McCann as trustees for the Walthamstow & Chingford Almshouse Charity.
