The Royal Borough of Greenwich Schools Forum was scheduled to meet to discuss the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG), school balances, and a forward plan of reports for the upcoming year. The forum was also expected to appoint a chair and vice-chair for the period of 2025-2029. The meeting was scheduled to take place at the Town Hall, Wellington Street, Woolwich.

The Schools Forum was scheduled to discuss the allocation of the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) for 2025-26. In particular the meeting was due to discuss the Dedicated Schools Grant budget strategy for 2025-26, the latest funding arrangements for 2025-26 announced by the DfE, and the preferred option for the 2025-26 National Funding Formula for Schools. The forum was also due to note the current position of the Dedicated Schools Grant for 2024-25.

The Schools Forum was scheduled to discuss how much money the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) is likely to overspend by at the end of the year and how funding should be allocated next year. The Forum was also scheduled to vote on whether to extend the terms of their own members from 2 years to 4 years.

This meeting of the Schools Forum was scheduled to receive updates on the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG), its constituent blocks, the National Funding Formula (NFF), and accounting arrangements for business rates. The Forum was also scheduled to review and revise the fees that the Council charges schools for converting to academy status.

The Schools Forum was due to discuss the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) in detail at this meeting, including an update on funding for the current financial year (2024-25) and a report on the final spending positions for 2023-24. The forum was also scheduled to review a proposal to increase the fixed fee the council charges schools that are converting to academy status.
