The Cabinet will be asked to consider and recommend to Council, proposed changes to West Suffolk Council’s Gambling Statement of Principles which has been subject to consultation. The Gambling Statement of Principles sets out the Council’s approach to gambling licensing across the district. The Council is legally obliged to have regard to the Statement when making decisions on licence applications or reviews.

Implementing Simpler Recycling services for commercial waste

Businesses and non-domestic organisations are required by Government to implement the ‘Simpler Recycling’ requirements by 31 March 2025 (one year earlier than households). The Cabinet will be asked to consider and recommend to Council, approval of changes to West Suffolk Council’s current commercial waste collection service tomeet the ‘Simpler Recycling’ requirements. Consideration of the financial implications associated with the new arrangements is also required, including the positive impact on the revenue budget in 2025-2026 from the expected income generated.
