The Employee Appeals Sub Committee was scheduled to convene to discuss an appeal against an employee dismissal. Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 11th June, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Overview & Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a report on hate crime reporting and the direct award of contracts for domiciliary care services. Councillor Abdi Mohamed presented a report on hate crime reporting, which was well-received by the committee, and the committee agreed to send it to the cabinet. The committee then moved into a closed session to discuss the Domiciliary Care Service Direct Award of Contract.

Housing Management (Cabinet) Sub-Committee - Wednesday, 4th June, 2025 5.30 p.m.

The Housing Management Cabinet Sub-Committee convened to discuss key performance indicators, landlord compliance, tenant engagement, and strategic risks. The committee approved proposed risk management methodology and targets for the Housing Management Service, while also addressing concerns regarding repairs, complaints, void property turnaround times, and policy frameworks. The importance of resident involvement and satisfaction was a recurring theme throughout the meeting.

Tower Hamlets Health and Wellbeing Board - Tuesday, 13th May, 2025 5.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss the development of a new health and wellbeing strategy for the borough, which is due in 2025. The workshop focused on understanding the health and wellbeing needs of Tower Hamlets residents, defining the strategy's unique purpose, and considering the current strategic context. The board also reflected on the principles that should underpin the strategy.

Cabinet - Wednesday, 30th April, 2025 5.30 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Council Cabinet met to discuss several key issues, including mental health services for children, noise complaints, market improvements, dog control, school amalgamations, substance misuse services, and agency worker contracts, making decisions on each. The Cabinet agreed to insource the out of hours noise service, introduce a dog control public spaces protection order, and approve the amalgamation of Globe Primary and Rachel Keeling Nursery Schools. They also approved a contract for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services, a redesign of the substance misuse service, and an agency worker contract extension with MATRIX.
