Motion: Government Changes to Planning Rules and Kingston's proposed new Local Plan

...to address concerns about potential government changes to planning rules and their impact on local democratic decision-making and the borough's new Local Plan, the Council resolved to oppose reduced councillor input, support collective responses to consultations, ensure councillors are notified of planning applications, review and enforce green belt regulations, and reconsider the draft Local Plan to safeguard against negative impacts on residents' amenity.
