Proposals for Public Spaces Protection Orders Expiring in 2025

Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) are intended to deal with a particular nuisance or problem in a specific area that is detrimental to the local community’s quality of life, by imposing conditions on the use of that area. Orders introduced in 2022 are set to expire on 23 June 2025. This report makes recommendations for their continued use.

This report seeks Cabinet approval for the Parking Strategy 2025-30. The Parking Strategy aims to support the Borough by meeting its current and future parking needs, balancing those of residents and businesses, whilst supporting the Council’s desire to respond to the Climate Emergency. The Parking Strategy will span 5 years, effective between 1 April 2025 and the 31 March 2030 and is presented following consultation during December 2024, January and February 2025.
