Temporary Accommodation Acquisitions Programme as per Resolution (b) of report SHAPS/090: property reference SHAPS/090/FW10

The decision relates to the acquisition of a property SHAPS/090/FW10 comprising 10 new-build apartments. This acquisition for SHAPS/090/FW10 is made under the agreement by Cabinet on 24th July 2024 in respect to report SHAPS/090, to permit the acquisition of properties from the market for use as temporary accommodation in Crawley Borough Council ownership. Resolution (b) in that report delegates the negotiation, approval and completion of all relevant documentation, including legal paperwork, to the Head of Strategic Housing, the Head of Governance, People and Performance, and the Head of Corporate Finance, in consultation with the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Housing.

The Service Provider is required to provide the services set out in the terms and conditions of the Collection and Support Services Specification of the WSCC Clinical Waste Services Framework Agreement for the Council. The provider will be responsible for the efficient collection of the Clinical and Offensive Waste from customers on behalf of Crawley Borough Council. Approximate number of collections and customers are detailed below: 1. Annual number of collections - 8800 2. Total number of customers - 1900 3. Total number of sharps only customers - 1700 4. Award of Contract: Food Waste Caddies

The award of contract for the supply of Internal and External Bin Caddies for the new food waste service. To facilitate the upcoming new service of Food Waste collections commencing June 26, internal and external caddies are required for the collection of food waste to domestic houses. The supplier met the specification as per the ESPO framework agreement. The purchase of : • 38,000 x 5 litre kitchen caddies; and • 38,000 x 23 litre external food waste caddies Delivery over two phases 11 May 2026 and 8 June 2026.
