The Council noted concerns about potential double decants for residents in Phase 5 of the regeneration project. The decision maker stated that eliminating double decants entirely was unviable due to financial, contractual, and programmatic risks.

The Council of Hackney's Council decided on 23 September 2026 to adopt new Planning Committee Terms of Reference, replacing the existing Planning Sub-Committee Terms of Reference. The Council also agreed that the Planning Sub-Committee would become a committee in its own right. Authority was delegated to the Monitoring Officer to finalise the Terms of Reference and amend the Corporate Committee's Terms of Reference.
