...to proceed with a review and update of the 2014 Poole Bay, Poole Harbour & Wareham Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) Strategy in partnership with Dorset Council and the Environment Agency, using £650,000 of secured funding, and to delegate authority to the Director for Commercial Operations to agree funding terms and technical case progression.

...to address the funding gap for 2026/27, the Board endorsed the developing 2026/27 Budget and MTFP position, noted concerns about the impact of the DSG deficit, and requested the Leader and CEO to write to government ministers to demand a meeting to resolve the DSG deficit funding issue, supported by letters from local MPs.

...to facilitate the closure of the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (DLEP), the Cabinet approved the acceptance of £4,640,160.06 from the DLEP to be ringfenced for community benefits and delegated authority for its allocation to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Destination, Leisure and Commercial Operations and the BCP Growth Board.

...to approve the use of prudential borrowing not exceeding £525,000 for the purchase of 21 vehicles to support the Building Maintenance and Construction Works Team, and to note that Construction Works Team plant purchases with up to £46,000 prudential borrowing requirement have been progressed under urgency powers due to health & safety considerations.

...to note the BCP Homes Performance Update report and integrate future performance reporting on BCP Homes into the council’s corporate performance framework and the Corporate Strategy Group.
