The Waltham Forest Council meeting on 11 December 2025 will cover a range of topics, including council tax support, fees and charges for various services, and a proposed new smoke control order. Councillors will also consider the Corporate Parenting Board annual report and a protocol for honorary alderpeople. A Labour group motion on national gambling reform is also scheduled.

Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Tuesday, 9th December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee is scheduled to meet to discuss corporate impact, the delivery of Mission Waltham Forest, and an update on the Corporate Peer Challenge. The committee, chaired by Councillor Yusuf Patel, will also review the forward plan and action tracker to ensure the council's scrutiny functions are aligned with its strategic priorities.

Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny - Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny were scheduled to meet to discuss the Safeguarding Adults Board Strategic Plan for 2025-28, and to receive an update from Whipps Cross Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust) on the findings of a Care Quality Commission (CQC) report. Councillors were also expected to review the committee's forward plan, action tracker and recommendations tracker.

Council - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 7.30 pm

The Waltham Forest Council met to discuss a range of topics, including amendments to the council's constitution, treasury management, and a motion regarding support for local businesses. Councillors agreed to amend the Council Procedure Rules and the Councillor's Code of Conduct, and noted reports on treasury management activities, scrutiny, and the use of emergency provisions. The council also rejected a Conservative Group motion calling for support for local businesses.

Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny - Thursday, 25th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss a number of topics, including a proposal to enter into a new Section 75 agreement[^2] with North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT), and proposed changes to the Minimum Income Guarantee uplift. The committee was also expected to review the draft forward plan for the 2025/26 municipal year.
