Asset Disposal - Retail Parade Disposal

...to contribute to the Council's financial recovery, the Cabinet approved the disposal of the Council's long leasehold interest in the ground floor retail units of 14 identified retail parades across Thurrock, subject to existing commercial leases, and delegated authority to finalize terms and proceed with the disposals.

...to facilitate the establishment of the Greater Essex Mayoral Combined County Authority, the Cabinet consented to the laying and subsequent making of the Greater Essex Combined County Authority Regulations 2026 (subject to Parliamentary approval) and delegated authority to the Assistant Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader and the Chief Executive/Managing Director Commissioner, to approve any required changes to the draft regulations prior to laying before Parliament, while also noting progress made on the devolution program.
