The Health and Wellbeing Board of Newham Council met on Wednesday 21 January 2026 to discuss community insights into health and care services, strategic approaches from the North East London Integrated Care System (ICS), and annual reports from the Newham Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) and the Newham Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB). Key decisions included noting the ICS System Strategy and endorsing the NSCP's priorities for the coming year.

The Health and Wellbeing Board met on Wednesday 08 October 2025 to discuss the NHS 10-year plan and its implications for Newham, review the progress of the 50 Steps to a Healthier Newham strategy, and explore initiatives to improve food security and healthy eating. Key decisions included approving the 50 Steps annual report and committing to maintaining and prioritising partnership working.

The Newham Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss several key issues impacting the borough, including food strategy, safeguarding, health equity, and neighbourhood development. The board agreed to note the progress being made in testing integrated neighbourhood working in Newham and the further development of population health approaches to target and improve health outcomes for residents. They also agreed to note the contents of a report from Healthwatch Newham on community safeguarding.
