Health and Wellbeing Board - Thursday, 9 July 2026 - 9.30 am

The Health and Wellbeing Board of Shropshire Council met on Thursday 09 July 2026 to discuss a range of topics focused on improving the health and wellbeing of residents across the county. Key areas scheduled for discussion included the strategic alignment of neighbourhood working, updates on medication access and veterans' healthcare experiences, and the findings of joint strategic needs assessments concerning pregnancy and birth, and drug and alcohol use. The Board was also set to review the Better Care Fund performance and plans, the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin 5-year strategic commissioning plan, and progress against the council's corporate plan.

Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 18 May 2026 - 2.00 pm

The Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to receive updates on winter planning and community provision. The committee was also set to hear from its Co-Chairs regarding recent activity and review the minutes of its previous meeting.

The Health and Wellbeing Board of Shropshire Council was scheduled to discuss a range of important public health matters, including the annual report of the Shropshire Community Safety Partnership, updates on domestic abuse, drug and alcohol strategies, and mental health initiatives. The board was also set to review progress on the SEND JSNA, the Better Care Fund, and strategies for cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic health.
