Council - Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025 6.30 pm
At a meeting of Croydon Council, the lead commissioner gave a statement on behalf of the commissioners, the council approved recommendations regarding external audit findings and extension to the term of the Independent Chair of Audit and Governance Committee, and councillors debated traffic calming measures on Spa Hill and improvements to Courtwood Park. The council also discussed a range of questions from the public, including concerns about building safety at The Fold and Malcolm Wicks House.

The Croydon Council Appointments and Disciplinary Committee met to progress the appointment of a Director of Assets and Repairs and a Director of Planning and Sustainable Regeneration. Shortlisted candidates for both positions were interviewed in a closed session following the public portion of the meeting.

Cabinet - Wednesday, 15th October, 2025 6.30 pm
At a meeting on 15 October 2025, the Croydon Council Cabinet reviewed the Adult Social Care and Health Directorate's 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), approved recommendations from the Scrutiny and Overview Committee, and endorsed the Annual Treasury Management Review for 2024-25. The cabinet also approved a series of measures designed to address a fault relating to a homelessness case, and approved the 2025-26 Period 3 Financial Performance Report, including changes to the capital programme.
Appointments & Disciplinary Committee - Wednesday, 1st October, 2025 4.30 pm, NEW
The Appointments and Disciplinary Committee met to discuss the extension of the term of the Independent Chair of the Audit and Governance Committee, and to agree the salary packages for four director posts. The committee agreed to recommend to full council that the term of Dr Olu Olasodi as chair of the Audit and Governance Committee be extended for a further two years. They also approved the salary packages and shortlisting processes for the Director of Property, Procurement and Capital, the Director of Planning and Sustainable Regeneration, the Director of Streets and Environment, and the Director of Assets and Repairs.
