The Cabinet decided to approve recommendations regarding the revenue outturn for 2025/26. The decision was made on 14/07/2026. The Cabinet noted the revenue position and the use of £2.710m from the Budget Strategy Reserve to achieve a balanced position.

The Cabinet decided to approve the Safe and Together London Partnership proposal for 2026-2028 on 14/07/2026. They also approved the acceptance of £1,033,000 in external grant funding and that Waltham Forest will act as the lead grant recipient. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Strategic Director of Children's Services to accept the grant and allocate funding.

The Cabinet decided on 02/06/2026 to approve continued involvement in Local Community Fostering as one of four regional authorities and to continue acting as the lead authority. Authority was delegated to the Strategic Director, Children's Services, in consultation with the Strategic Director of Resources, to progress and decide on the expansion of the service's scope and remit, including developing an end-to-end regional fostering recruitment and assessment model.

The Cabinet adopted the Residential Alterations and Retrofit Supplementary Planning Document. They also authorised the Corporate Director of Regeneration, Planning & Strategic Property to make necessary amendments and revoked the previous Residential Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document.

The Cabinet of Waltham Forest approved the commissioning approach for the Healthy Child Programme, Best Start Service, and Universal and Targeted Services for Children and their Parents on 02/06/2026. They agreed to start a competitive procurement process and delegated authority to Strategic Directors to finalise procurement documentation, evaluate tenders, and award contracts.
