The Adult Care and Public Health Scrutiny Committee met on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, to discuss the re-procurement of externally commissioned building-based day care services, the future of the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) service, and an extension to short breaks and emergency provision contracts. The Executive of Lincolnshire Council met on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, to discuss and approve several key items, including the council's budget for 2026/27, the North Hykeham Relief Road project, the capital repairs and maintenance programme, and the Adult Social Care Strategy. A significant decision was made to approve the initial proposals for the 2026/27 council budget, which includes an assumed 4.99% council tax increase, subject to further consultation and scrutiny. The Executive also approved the progression of the North Hykeham Relief Road to construction, pending final confirmation from the Department for Transport.

The Adult Care and Public Health Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Integrated Lifestyle Service, the Adult Social Care Strategy, the Adult Social Care Target Operating Model, and service level performance. The committee agreed to support the recommendations to the executive regarding the Adult Social Care Strategy. Members also requested more information on smoking quit targets and discussed the committee's work programme, agreeing to add an extra meeting in March.
