The Governance and Audit Committee of Cardiff Council was scheduled to discuss a range of financial, performance, and governance matters. Key topics included an update on the directorate control environment for People and Communities, a financial update with a focus on resilience issues, and mid-year reports on council complaints and self-assessment. The committee was also set to review the progress of recommendations from external review bodies, updates on the annual governance statement, and the progress of the internal audit and investigation teams. Community & Adult Services Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 19th January, 2026 4.30 pm

The Community and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee met on Monday 19 January 2026 to discuss the proposed purchase of land for new council housing, the Migrant Worker Charter, Disabled Facilities Adaptations, and the current situation with the Responsive Repairs Unit. Key decisions included the approval of the acquisition of building plots at Central Quay for new council housing, and the endorsement of the Migrant Worker Charter, with recommendations for its enhancement.

Community & Adult Services Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 15th December, 2025 4.30 pm

The Community & Adult Services Scrutiny Committee are scheduled to discuss the Neurodivergent Cardiff Strategy, council housing rent and service charges, and changes to the council's allocation policy at their meeting on 15 December. The committee, chaired by Councillor Bablin Molik, will also review the minutes of their previous meeting. As this is a scrutiny committee, any comments, observations and concerns will be passed on to the relevant Cabinet Member by Councillor Bablin Molik.

Council - Thursday, 27th November, 2025 4.30 pm

The Cardiff Council met on 27 November 2025, and approved sending the Replacement Local Development Plan to the Welsh Government for independent examination. Councillors also agreed to launch a public consultation on introducing a visitor levy in the city.
