Public Spaces Protection Order for Dog Controls

Boston Borough Council's Cabinet approved the extension of the dog controls Public Spaces Protection Order for three years from 1st October 2026. The Fixed Penalty Notice charge of £100 will be maintained. The decision included approving the extension of the Public Spaces Protection Order and maintaining the Fixed Penalty Notice charge at £100.

Adoption of Boston Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan

The Cabinet decided to approve appointments to outside bodies. These appointments will remain in place until the Leader determines to make alternative appointments or the appointed Member ceases to be a Member of the authority. The Cabinet approved the appointments as set out in Appendix 1.

The Cabinet approved the adoption of the Boston Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan, including the revised Conservation Area boundary. This decision was made on 24th June 2026. The adoption of the plan will be published in the local press and The London Gazette, and updates will be made to the land charges register.

Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF) Round 4 for the provision of Temporary and Resettlement Homes

Boston Council's Cabinet decided on 24/06/2026 to accept Local Authority Housing Fund Round 4 funding to acquire three properties for temporary and resettlement homes. The Cabinet approved the spending strategy and recommended amending the capital programme to match fund the grant. Authority was delegated to the Service Director – Strategic Growth & Development and the Portfolio Holder to finalise the MOU terms with MHCLG.
