Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025 10.30 am
The Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee met to discuss corporate parenting, the Lancashire House Project, and the Where Our Children Live programme, and to review the committee's work programme for the coming year. The committee agreed to review the Corporate Parenting Strategy in April 2026, prior to its submission to the cabinet in October 2026, and requested an update on cohort four of the Lancashire House Project in spring 2026. The committee also requested that Lancashire County Council liaise with district councils to reduce the number of private care homes.

The upcoming Full Council meeting is set to address a variety of topics, including community safety, the members' allowance scheme, and the annual review of overview and scrutiny. Councillors will also discuss committee appointments, the Lancashire County Pension Fund, and the council's meeting schedule for 2026/27.
Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 10.30 am
The Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Care Quality Commission (CQC) local authority assessment, NHS vascular service changes, and health scrutiny work programmes. The committee agreed that the proposed reconfiguration of vascular services constitutes a substantial service variation and therefore requires formal public consultation. They also approved recommendations for a task group to oversee the CQC action plan and for more detailed population health data to be presented at future meetings.
Full Council - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 1.00 pm
Lancashire County Council's Full Council met on 17 July 2025, and among other things, approved the Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and agreed to review its policy on flying flags over council property, prioritising the Union Flag, the Flag of England, the Lancashire Flag, royal flags, and military flags and ensigns. The council also discussed the financial challenges it faces, and heard questions from councillors and members of the public.
