The Local Pension Board was scheduled to discuss payments into and from the pension fund, administration performance, data improvement plans, risk registers, decisions made by the Pension Fund Committee, compliance with The Pensions Regulator's new code of practice, knowledge and understanding, and external audit and accounts.

Strategic Planning Committee - Wednesday 23rd April, 2025 7.00 pm

The Strategic Planning Committee met on 23 April 2025, and approved the 2024 Brownfield Land Register for publication. They also voted to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of Unit 3 Hyde Estate Road in West Hendon, subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement[^2]. Finally, the committee delegated authority to the Chief Planning Officer to revoke the Direction for the Area of Special Advertisement Control.

Budget Council, Council - Tuesday 4th March, 2025 7.00 pm

The Council agreed to adopt the new Local Plan, approved the 2025/26 budget and the associated 4.98% rise in Council Tax, and appointed Cath Shaw as the new Chief Executive.

West Area Committee - Monday 24th February, 2025 7.00 pm

The committee awarded funding to several projects in the area, including community food growing, a green shield around All Saints School, playground improvements in Golders Hill Park, repairs to the Emmanuel Centre, and a sports programme in Grahame Park. The committee also discussed several issues raised by members of the public, including road safety issues, building works noise and dust, and a request for improved lighting under a railway bridge to deter antisocial behaviour.

The Local Pension Board of Barnet Council met virtually at 6.00pm on Tuesday 11th February 2025. The meeting was scheduled to discuss a range of matters relating to the governance, administration, investment performance and accounts of the London Borough of Barnet Pension Fund. A key item on the agenda was a report from BDO, the fund’s external auditors for the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 financial years.
