The Licensing Sub Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met on Thursday 16 July 2026 to consider three applications for premises licences. The committee granted one application to vary a premises licence for Holy Carrot, allowing for extended alcohol sales and off-sales. However, two applications for new premises licences were refused: one for Second Home Spitalfields, due to concerns about public nuisance and cumulative impact, and another for Lebanese Grill, also citing public nuisance and cumulative impact issues within the Brick Lane Cumulative Impact Zone.

The Licensing Subcommittee met to decide on two applications. The application for a variation of a premises license for Perfetto Pizza at 391 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9RA was granted to allow late night refreshment sales until 3am, with 1am-3am for delivery only. The application for a new premises license for The Pickle Factory at 11-14 The Oval, London E2 9DT was also granted, subject to a number of conditions.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met on Tuesday 14 February 2023 to consider a new premises licence application for Oval Studio, located at 29-32 The Oval, London E2 9DT. The committee heard representations from the applicant, responsible authorities, and local residents, ultimately deciding to grant the licence with a number of conditions. The meeting also addressed the extension of decision deadlines for several other licensing applications.
