The Audit and Governance Committee recommended to Borough Council the appointment of Lisa Nyon as an independent non-voting member of the Audit Committee. This decision was made on 08 September 2026. Lisa Nyon will be eligible for an allowance of £2,000 per annum.

The Audit and Governance Committee decided to note the performance of the Internal Audit and Investigation team and key issues arising during quarters 3 and 4, and to note the Chief Audit Executive’s conclusion for 2025/26. The committee also approved the Anti-Money Laundering Policy and the Fraud Risk and Anti-Fraud Proactive plan on 08 September 2026.

The Audit and Governance Committee agreed the minutes of the meeting held on 3 February 2026 as an accurate record. The committee noted the use of RIPA by the Council from 1 January 2025 to date. They also noted the amended Corporate Risk register and the proposed Treasury Management Strategy and supporting annexes.

The Audit and Governance Committee decided to approve recommendations on 08/09/2026. There were no matters arising from the minutes.

The Audit and Governance Committee recommended to the Borough Council that it approve revised Planning Committee Terms of Reference, Council Procedure Rules, and Committee Procedure Rules on 8 September 2026. The committee also recommended appointing the Chair of the Planning Committee as the Council's Nominated Member.
