The Staffing Committee of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Council met on Monday 15 June 2026. The committee approved an increase to HMRC approved mileage rates and recommended four candidates for interview for the role of Executive Director for Transport.

The Skills Committee of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority met on Monday 15 June 2026. The meeting noted the submission of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) 2026–2029, which is awaiting approval from the Secretary of State, and endorsed the proposed role of the Skills Board in stewarding its implementation. The committee also reviewed the findings of the Adult Skills Funding Review 2024/25, endorsing its assessment and strategic direction to recommend approval to the Combined Authority Board, and noted the interim evaluation report for the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer Year One programme.

The Combined Authority Board of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough met on Wednesday 3 June 2026, approving the Forward Plan for June 2026 and changes to the Constitution. The Board also noted updates on the State of the Region review and the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act.

Report on increase to HMRC approved mileage rates

The Staffing Committee approved an uplift to current mileage rates to reflect new HMRC approved rates on 15 June 2026. The policy was amended to increase the mileage rate for cars to 55p per mile, effective from 6 April 2026.
