The Funding Committee of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Council resolved to note the Funding Committee's Work Programme on 07 September 2026. The Work Programme includes noting officer business case decisions for projects less than £2m and approving outline business cases for Brownfield Housing Fund Allocation Site Projects and the Active Travel Consolidated Settlement.

The Funding Committee of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Council decided to approve recommendations regarding the closure of the subsidiary Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Business Growth Company Limited on 07 September 2026. The committee recommended that the Combined Authority Board approve shareholder documentation and delegate authority to the Chief Executive Officer to sign documents for the share capital reduction. This includes the cancellation of 5,807,000 ordinary shares and the transfer of the resulting credit to a profit and loss reserve.

The Funding Committee of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Council approved the 2026/27 Local Transport Grant capital allocations on 3 August 2026. The committee resolved to allocate £1,522,000 to Peterborough City Council and £3,450,700 to Cambridgeshire County Council for eligible local transport improvement schemes.

The Funding Committee of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority noted officer decisions for projects under the Single Assurance Framework on 07 September 2026. These decisions approved business cases and change requests for various projects, including free car parking in Peterborough, the Mayor's Day Out initiative, and funding for the Growth Hub and Further Education programmes. The committee also noted time extensions and funding reprofiling for projects such as Whittlesea Station and Cygnet Bridge.

The Funding Committee approved the minutes of the previous meeting held on 22 June 2026. The committee also recommended to the Combined Authority Board the approval of the Business Case for delivery of the Skills Capital Programme. The committee noted the project progress report and their Work Programme.
