The Mayoral Combined Authority Board approved the minutes of the meeting held on 16 June 2026. This decision was made on 14 July 2026.

The Mayoral Combined Authority Board of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority Council noted the financial position at the outturn of the 2025/26 financial year. They approved movements to reserves and the revised budget estimates for the 2026/27 financial year. The decision was made on 14/07/2026.

The Mayoral Combined Authority Board noted the Delegated Authority Report on 14/07/2026. The report provided an overview of decisions and delegations made by the MCA and under the Officer Scheme of Delegation. The Board approved the Bolton Upon Dearne Active Travel Scheme, the Northern Secure Facility, the T002 A61 Wakefield Road Corridor change control, the Liberty Speciality Steel UK site feasibility, the Azure Cloud Managed Service, the ZEBRA project delivery delay compensation, Integrated Settlement - Active Travel Revenue Funding, the SY Workplace Health Musculoskeletal Testbed, and the Business Growth Advisor Service.

The Mayoral Combined Authority Board of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority Council approved the progression of the "Northern Local Centre Improvement" programme and awarded £11.65m grant to City of Doncaster Council on 14/07/2026. They also approved the progression of "AMRC Start-up" and awarded £2m grant to the University of Sheffield. Additionally, the Board endorsed the submission of a proposal for an "Apprenticeship Brokerage Pilot" to the DWP and delegated authority to the Executive Director of Growth, Business and Skills to accept and award any subsequent grant. They also approved the acceptance and onward award of £0.48m revenue grant from the DWP for the "Free Courses for Jobs" programme and £0.17m "Regional Investment Framework (RIF) revenue grant" from the Office of Investment. Delegated authority was granted to the Head of Paid Service to enter into legal agreements for these points.

The Mayoral Combined Authority Board approved amendments to the Constitution on 16 June 2026. The Board delegated authority to the Monitoring Officer to amend and publish a revised MCA Constitution containing the approved changes. The Board also noted implications for the MCA's powers and duties arising out of the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026.
