Strategic Sites Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 2.00 pm

Thames Valley Police and Crime Panel - Friday, 20th June, 2025 10.30 am
The Thames Valley Police and Crime Panel met to review the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner's (PCC) annual report, discuss domestic violence, shoplifting, and antisocial behaviour, and to review panel procedures. The panel re-elected Peter Gammond as chair and Councillor Stephen Newton as vice-chair. They also agreed to consider paying an allowance to the panel's independent co-opted members.

Buckinghamshire Council's licensing subcommittee convened to consider an application for a new premises licence for The Garibaldi pub, located at 11-17 High Street, Burnham, Slough, SL1 7JB. The application was submitted by Star Pubs and Bars Limited, following the death of the previous licence holder and the subsequent lapse of the existing licence. After hearing arguments from all parties, the committee agreed to grant the licence with amended conditions.
Children’s & Education Select Committee - Thursday, 19th June, 2025 2.00 pm
The Buckinghamshire Council Children's & Education Select Committee met to discuss several key issues, including special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), the outcome of a recent Ofsted inspection, and national reforms to children's services. The committee agreed to review both the SEND improvement plan and the Ofsted improvement plan at their next meeting, and also agreed to schedule a separate meeting to discuss the work programme in more detail. Councillor Wendy Matthews was appointed as Vice-Chair for the council year.
