Pathfinder Programme - funding reallocations

The requirement to reallocate funding within the Simplification Pathfinder Pilot programme from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, following the formal decision to close the Pathfinder Port Infrastructure project, within the Green Port Intervention.   The funding reallocation was for the Green Campus, Clock House, Harbour Placemaking, Broad Street, Fishing Facilities and to Contingency.   As the Accountable Body for the projects within the Simplification Pathfinder Pilot, the council is the ultimate decision maker.

Youth Service Provision Working Party Report

On 24 April 2025 Cabinet was presented with the findings of the Youth Service Provision Review Working Party which looked into youth provision in Thanet and how Thanet District Council could support such provisions in the district, taking into consideration the functions a district council could provide. This scrutiny review led to some findings and proposals being put forward for Cabinet consideration and response as well as senior management comments. Cabinet agrees with the importance of engaging and supporting young people.

Representation On Outside Bodies for 2025/26

Council agreed the list of Executive outside bodies and the number of Councillors to be appointed to them, as described at paragraph 3.1 of the cabinet report, at its Annual meeting on 15 May 2025.   The Council appoints representatives to outside bodies in order to express the views of the Council to those bodies on the work they undertake, and to feed back to the Council issues emerging from those bodies that relate to Council activities.

Redevelopment of 10-13 Edgar Road, Cliftonville in the Housing Revenue Account

The council purchased 10-13 Edgar Road in 2023 using the final tranche of approved Housing Revenue Account funding for the Live Margate programme. This report seeks permission from Cabinet members to proceed with the redevelopment of 10-13 Edgar Road. The forecast cost of the redevelopment is £2,788,274 inclusive of fees and expenses, with construction costs calculated as £2.49m.

Food Service Plan and Enforcement Policy 2025-2028
