At a meeting of Warwickshire County Council's Portfolio Holder Decisions/Leader Decisions, Councillor Rob Howard, Leader of the Council, approved an amendment to a traffic regulation order. The amendment provides an exemption for emergency services access to The Old Gated Road, Chesterton.

Cabinet - Thursday 12 June 2025 1.45 pm

The Warwickshire County Council Cabinet met for its first meeting of the new administration, addressing key financial reports, education capital programme additions, and procurement approvals. The Cabinet endorsed the Treasury Management and Investment Outturn reports, approved the Financial Outturn Report with a plan to address overspending, and approved additions to the Education Capital Programme for 2025/26.

Appointment of Portfolio Holder for Transport and Planning, Portfolio Holder Decisions/Leader Decisions - Tuesday 10 June 2025 10.00 am

In a meeting held on Tuesday 10 June 2025, Councillor Rob Howard, Leader of the Council, confirmed the appointment of Councillor Nigel Golby as the Portfolio Holder for Transport and Planning, and Councillor Stuart Green as the Cabinet Support Member for Transport and Planning. The terms of reference for both roles were also confirmed.

In a brief meeting, Councillor Rob Howard, Leader of the Council, appointed councillors to the Cabinet, determined their portfolios, and delegated executive functions. Councillor George Finch was appointed as Deputy Leader. Appointments were also made to various bodies, including the Joint Negotiating Body, Adoption Panel, Fostering Panel, and the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO).
