The Constitution Committee of Hackney Council on 21 July 2026 noted the Terms of Reference. The committee is responsible for reviewing areas of the Constitution to ensure they are fit for purpose and proposing appropriate changes.

Hackney's Constitution Committee noted the nomination of Cllr Rolf Dekker for Vice-Chair for the Municipal Year 2026/27. This nomination is subject to approval by Full Council on 28 July 2026.

The Constitution Committee of Hackney Council approved new Planning Committee Terms of Reference on 21/07/2026. These recommendations will be put to Full Council for adoption, including making the Planning Sub-Committee a committee in its own right. The Monitoring Officer will be given delegated authority to finalise the Terms of Reference and amend the Corporate Committee's Terms of Reference.
