The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss the progress of student-led projects exploring the impact of religious and non-religious worldviews on the local community, and to review the annual report on Religious Education outcomes in the borough. The meeting also included discussions on the upcoming review of the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) of Newham Council met on Wednesday 4th February 2026 to discuss the annual report, priorities for the upcoming year, and student RE matters. Key decisions included the agreement of the 2025-2026 SACRE priorities and noting the findings from the NASACRE publication on annual reports.

SACRE - Thursday 13th November 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) meeting scheduled for 13 November 2025 was set to cover a range of topics concerning religious education in Newham schools. Key discussions were planned around the council's priorities for the upcoming year, the results of a pupil survey on religious education, and guidance for schools on observing Ramadan.

The meeting was about approving the minutes from the previous meeting and considering the SACRE’s priorities for the year. The members were also scheduled to receive an update on the forum of faiths and the RE Matters programme.
