Local Planning Committee - Tuesday, 22nd October, 2024 6.30 pm
The Local Planning Committee refused permission for ASDA Stores Limited to alter the opening hours of the commercial unit at 123 Greenwich South Street. The Committee deferred their decision on the application by Mr Held for the change of use of 24 Lucknow Street in Plumstead to a five-bedroom small House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) with a maximum capacity of six people. The Committee approved an application by Ms I Cooke for the construction of a single storey rear extension at 43 The Slade in Plumstead. The Committee also approved an application by Plumstead Manor School to change the use of a car park at Plumstead Manor School to a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
Transport and Place Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 3rd October, 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting of the Transport and Place Scrutiny Panel was scheduled to include an update on the risks of flooding in Greenwich, a report on the progress of the new Local Plan, and a summary of the performance of the planning service. The Local Planning Committee approved the construction of a new dwelling house to the rear of a takeaway on Woolwich Road, Greenwich. It also approved the change of use of a property on Sidcup Road, Blackheath, to a 7-bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO), and granted permission for the retention of an outbuilding to the rear of a ground floor flat on Alwold Crescent in Eltham.

The meeting saw the approval of a retrospective planning application for a single storey rear infill extension at 34 Fairthorn Road, as well as the approval of an application for the construction of a nine-storey extension to the Vista Building on Calderwood Street. The committee also approved a contentious application for the conversion and extension of an existing outbuilding at 118 Woodhill Road, and the change of use from a residential dwelling to a six-person HMO at 64 Holburne Road.
