The Weaver Network Board noted the update provided on 17 September 2026. The update covered progress on bus franchising, including contracting, customer experience, asset acquisition, and network planning.

The Investment Board of West Yorkshire Combined Authority approved the Westgate Connector scheme progressing to the Business Justification Case and commencement of Delivery, approving £5,826,972 in funding on 03/09/2026. The Board also approved the Brunswick Street Footpath Improvements scheme progressing to the Business Justification Case and commencement of Delivery, approving £428,694 in funding on 03/09/2026. Additionally, the Investment Board approved the A6177 Toller Lane Junction Improvement Scheme progressing to the Full Business Case and commencement of Delivery, approving £6,642,139 in funding, with £255,000 development funding released immediately on 03/09/2026.

The Investment Board of West Yorkshire Combined Authority decided on 03 September 2026 to approve a change request for the West Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) (Phase 3) scheme. This approval increased the Combined Authority's funding by £461,500 to £961,500, extended delivery timescales to 31 October 2028, and increased outlined outputs. Future approvals will follow the assurance pathway, approval route, and tolerances set out in the Business Case Summary.

The Investment Board approved the Made Smarter Professional and Business Services scheme progressing to the business justification case and commencement of delivery, approving £9,177,699 in Combined Authority funding. The Investment Board also approved the Energy Transition and Security scheme progressing to the business justification case and commencement of delivery, approving an additional £1,250,000 in Combined Authority funding. Both decisions were made on 03 September 2026.

The Investment Board of West Yorkshire Combined Authority approved the Region of Learning and Creativity (Strand 2) scheme to proceed through Decision Point 2 to 4 and commence delivery, allocating £2,982,750 in Combined Authority funding. They also approved development funding of £50,000 for the Targeted Work Experience Programme and £150,000 for the Region of Learning and Creativity (Strand 1) scheme.
