The Cabinet is Barking and Dagenham Council's main decision-making body for matters not delegated elsewhere. It sets the overall direction and manages performance, ensuring a coordinated approach to service delivery and partnerships. The Cabinet oversees the effective use of council resources and directs the Chief Executive and Executive Management Team, holding them accountable. It is composed of up to 10 Labour councillors, led by the Council Leader, with members assigned specific portfolios.
