Purpose

The Cabinet will be asked to consider options for the
potential sale and/or upgrading of the Barking Industria site,
Longreach Road, Barking.

Content

Cabinet resolved to:
 
(i)  Approve Council
borrowing of £2.23m to enable the retrofit of the
building fire safety system (sprinklers) at Barking Industria;
 
(ii)  Authorise the
Strategic Director, Inclusive Growth and Place, to commission the
necessary works via Be First; and
 
(iii)  Delegate authority to the
Head of Legal to execute all the legal agreements, contracts and
other documents on behalf of the Council in
order to implement the arrangements.
