Cabinet resolved to recommend the
Assembly to note:
(i) The Treasury
Management Strategy Statement 2025/26 mid-year review report;
(ii) The economic update
covering inflation, Government borrowing and the Bank of England
Base Rate changes;
(iii) Total Council borrowing of
£1,553.7m, of which £1,078.2m related to the Investment
and Acquisition Strategy, £295.1m to the Housing Revenue
Account and £180.4m to the General Fund;
(iv) Total treasury investments
of £454.4m, consisting of cash deposits of £20.6m and
Loans and Equity of £433.8m; and
(v) That the forecast
investment income outturn position showed a shortfall of
£1.4m on the General Fund and £4.3m on the IAS.
