Purpose

By Minute 78 (11 November 2025), the Cabinet approved the draft Becontree Estate Supplementary Planning Document and Design Code for public consultation.  Following that process, from which no material changes are proposed to the draft SPD, the Cabinet will be asked to formally adopt the Becontree Estate Supplementary Planning Document and Design Code.

Decision

Cabinet resolved to:

(i)  Adopt the Becontree Estate Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) and Design Code, referred to as Appendix 1 to the report;

(ii)  Note the Consultation Summary Report as set out at Appendix 2 to the report; and

(iii)  Note that a further report shall be presented to Cabinet in November 2026 to seek confirmation of the Article 4 Directions.
