The Court of Common Council is the City of London's primary decision-making body, operating on a non-party political basis. It considers reports from its committees, motions, and members' questions. The Court is composed of 100 Common Councillors and 25 Aldermen, representing the City's 25 Wards. Councillors are elected every four years and must meet specific residency, citizenship, and property ownership criteria, or be a Freeman of the City of London.
