The Equity, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Sub-Committee scrutinises the City of London Corporation's policies and practices related to equality, diversity, and inclusion, reporting to the Policy & Resources and Corporate Services Committees. It monitors progress against EDI objectives, assesses efforts to tackle prejudice, and makes recommendations to promote inclusion and diversity within the Court of Common Council. The sub-committee also provides guidance on EDI principles, strategies, and action plans, and oversees compliance with the Equality Act 2010's protected characteristics. It reviews HR policies, acts as a representative on EDI matters, and approves EDI targets and metrics. Additionally, it oversees the implementation of the Social Mobility Strategy and accessibility initiatives.
