The Resource Allocation Sub-Committee determines how the City Corporation's financial and property resources are used, aligning with its strategies. It considers and makes recommendations on matters referred by the Grand Committee.
The committee has power to decide on the City Corporation's programme for repairs, maintenance, and replacement of plant and equipment for operational properties. It also determines investment proportions between property and non-property assets, and recommends the extent of properties held for strategic purposes. It oversees the management of the Corporation's operational property portfolio, including agreeing the Corporate Asset Management Strategy and reviewing facilities management practices. The committee can approve acquisitions and disposals of operational properties within certain thresholds.
