About

The Economy and Resources Scrutiny Committee scrutinises the council's services related to the economy and resources portfolios. It examines financial management, including the Medium-Term Financial Plan, local taxation, and risk management. The committee also reviews place strategy, policy, performance, transformation, and corporate planning processes.

Its remit includes oversight of economic development, regeneration, housing policy, land and property asset management, and environmental services. The committee also scrutinises corporate procurement, development management, ICT, human resources, health and safety, and customer services. It provides recommendations and oversight on these areas to inform council decision-making.
