Purpose

To seek Cabinet approval to conduct a public consultation in relation to the implementation of the budget saving options put forward as part of the 2026-27 budget setting process,. Nnamely,; ‘Closure of Glossop Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)’ as set out in the body of this report and Appendix 2.
To ask Cabinet to delegate authority to the Assistant Director – Resources and Waste to finalise the consultation questionnaire and supporting content in consultation with the Cabinet Member Net Zero and Environment.

RESOLVED to:

1)    Approve conducting a public consultation in relation to the implementation of the budget saving options put forward as part of the 2026-27 budget setting process, namely ‘Closure of Glossop HWRC’, as set out in the body of the report; and
