Development Management Committee

The Development Management Committee is responsible for planning decisions as the County Planning Authority in Devon. It determines planning applications for minerals, waste disposal, and the Council's own development projects. The committee also handles other town and country planning matters, and functions not reserved for the full Council, Cabinet, or other committees.

Additionally, it oversees the creation of the County Council's Minerals and Waste Plans, with final approval by the Cabinet and County Council. It also prepares and approves other documents within the Minerals and Waste Development Framework.
