Devon County Council Cabinet decided on 14/10/2026 to note progress made since the CQC inspection and the Department of Health and Social Care requirements. It was also agreed that assurance of Integrated Adult Social Care improvement progress would be reported through the Health and Adult Care Scrutiny Committee.

The Cabinet of Devon Council on Wednesday 14 October 2026 endorsed the Minutes of the Farms Estate Committee of 17 September 2026. Any recommendations to Cabinet within those minutes were approved.

The Cabinet of Devon Council on 14 October 2026 resolved to note the impacts of the 2026 Bluetongue Virus Serotype 3 outbreak on the farming community. They supported the reinstatement of a three-year Rural Support and Wellbeing Programme with expenditure of up to £180,000, subject to funding confirmation. Delegated authority was given to the Director of Public Health and Communities to finalise and implement the programme, which must include clear outcomes and performance measures.

The Cabinet of Devon Council decided on 14 October 2026 to note the recommendations from the Public Health Annual Report. A report will be brought to Cabinet in December 2026 with a timeline and action plan for implementing the Devon ‘Youth Matters’ Strategic Plan.
