The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) advises Devon County Council on matters related to Religious Education (RE) and collective worship, in line with the Locally Agreed Syllabus. Its work involves monitoring and improving the standards and quality of RE teaching and provision, and ensuring the effectiveness of the Agreed Syllabus. SACRE also works to maintain partnerships with the County Council and other stakeholders, and promotes social and racial harmony.
