North Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee resolved that the minutes of the meeting held 12 June 2026 be signed as a correct record on 16 October 2026.

The North Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee decided to endorse the implementation of advertised No Waiting At Any Time restrictions for Old Bideford Road, Sticklepath. This decision was made on 16 October 2026. The 6-metre and 15-metre sections identified after a site visit will not be implemented.

The North Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee endorsed the Sowden Lane East and Bear Street crossing improvements. The committee resolved to progress the puffin crossing and upgraded crossing arrangement to detailed design and construction, and to advertise a traffic regulation order. They also delegated authority to the Interim Director of Climate Change, Environment and Transport for minor scheme amendments.

The Council of Devon Council on 03 September 2026 decided to accept the Cabinet's advice. The Council resolved to note the statutory requirements for assessing cumulative impacts in Local Plans. The relevant Scrutiny Committee will undertake a retrospective audit of housing developments to assess the accuracy of the existing assessment process.
