The Licensing Committee is responsible for making decisions on a range of licensing matters for East Hampshire. This includes considering applications for alcohol and entertainment licences, as well as issues such as taxi tariffs. Hearings are held only when there are objections to an application, which can be raised by statutory consultees like the police and fire services, council officers, or local residents. Unopposed applications are approved as required by law.
