The Extraordinary Council Meeting is convened to address specific, urgent issues of importance to the borough. It can be called by the Mayor, the Council itself through a resolution, the Chief Executive, or any five councillors under specific circumstances. The business conducted at these meetings is generally limited to the items specified in the meeting notice, unless the Mayor determines otherwise. All meetings are open to the public.
